Exclusive interview with the Syrian ambassador in Bucharest

Q 1 – What does the Arab Spring mean for Syria?
C 1 – the beginning is not the so-called Arab Spring, which appeared in some states any role in bringing democracy and political and social reforms for the benefit of citizens, but it is a scheme to divide the Arab world into small states are easy to control. In this framework, Syria is a secular state and its Republican It is not a kingdom it may constitution, parliament and institutions and the texture of the religions is respected by everyone. The state offers many services to citizens Free Education in Syria, and medical care and health insurance is free for all. Syria a democratic state. What do they want from the Arab Spring in Syria? That comes with the Muslim Brotherhood and the fundamentalists and the application of Islamic law, as has happened in other countries? Will the United States and the European Union happy about it?. I tell you that the real problem in the Middle East is Israel. And that the economic crisis experienced by the United States and the European Union imposed on them certain interests .., and they want to solve this crisis at the expense of Arab States at any cost and was always in the Israeli interest. In this regard Syria is a state impedance region’s major because it will never abandon its maxims nationalism and is working for the restoration of the territories occupied by Israel, while some other Arab countries not to have a firm stance, they engaged in foreign policy, “acting” as dictated by the immediate interests.

Q 2 – Is the Syrian government includes more than one party?
C 2 – Yes, there are several parties in the government and there are a number of independent .. Despite this multiplicity of parties of the required reforms. In this framework, the formation of an independent judicial body to oversee the next election after that were previously supervised by the Ministry of Interior. The President Bashar Assad decrees necessary also about the freedom of the media and the law of parties, which guarantees political pluralism and electoral law. Body has been formed to amend the constitution .. And make room for those who wish to become a political party. But achieving reforms are not overnight.

C 3 – No! This organization is banned in Syria, specifically of the Syrian parliament because they are structured gunman carrying military weapons in Syria against the state and its citizens .. The Syrian constitution does not allow the formation of political parties on religious and ethnic grounds or flow-through nature armed Milisheoa.

Q4 – citizens can buy weapons?
C 4 – No, but the Interior Ministry granted special permits for fishing only.
